The SEC’s most significant football game Saturday will be between defending national champion Michigan and Texas — two top-10 teams.
But Tennessee vs. NC State in Charlotte, North Carolina, might be the best game on the undercard – unless, of course, you find an actual conference game (South Carolina vs. Kentucky) irresistible.
I don’t have any doubts about either the Michigan-Texas game or the Tennessee-NC State game. My only questions: Will we get to see more of Arch Manning, and can the Vols beat the Wolfpack as badly as West Virginia beat UT on Tennessee’s last trip to Charlotte?

Texas 34, Michigan 17: I realize the game is in Ann Arbor, Michigan. But I also realize that Jim Harbaugh is back in the NFL, and Connor Stalions is no longer the Wolverines’ sign-stealing coordinator.

Never mind that Saban is gone. As talented as the Tide looked against Western Kentucky, they again could be playoff-bound, this time under new coach Kalen DeBoer. And they might have 17 points by the end of the first quarter against USF.
Oklahoma State 30, Arkansas 20: If the Razorbacks cared about keeping Sam Pittman as their coach, they would have tried to buy out of this game. But how bad would it be to have offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino as an interim coach?
Auburn 34, Cal…
