Oklahoma vs Houston picks, predictions, odds: Who wins Week 2 college football game?

But the team still managed to be surprisingly bad in its Week 1 loss to UNLV, especially on offense. Houston only scored seven points, and it must now face an elite OU defense that got six takeaways in a Week 1 win over Temple. The Sooners will put points on the board despite the loss of wide receiver Jalil Farooq, who’s out for 6-8 weeks with a broken foot, and the Cougars won’t be able to keep up.”

Bryan Clinton writes: “While I’d love to tell Cougar fans that they’ll march into Norman and make everyone forget about the egg they laid in Las Vegas last week, I’m not confident that will happen. Oklahoma’s defense looked dominant, and its offense, while underwhelming against a bad Temple team, was as vanilla as you’ll see them call a game all season long. Good teams make their biggest jumps between Game 1 and Game 2, and I believe Oklahoma is a good football team. Houston? Not so much – at least not for now.
