Arkansas football wide receiver Jaedon Wilson leaves program

Arkansas football wide receiver Jaedon Wilson announced on social media Friday that he is leaving the Razorbacks’ program.

Wilson, a redshirt junior, logged just eight snaps in the season-opener last week against Arkansas Pine Bluff. He is now the second player to step away from the team this fall, with Eli Stein leaving last week after learning he’d be sharing long snapping duties with Ashton Ngo.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life as I will continue to dedicate myself to playing at the highest level of college football. I love the sport and my passion to play is greater than ever,” Wilson wrote.

Additionally, Wilson thanked the Arkansas coaches, his teammates and the Fayetteville community.

Wilson was a consensus three-star prospect coming out of high school in in 2021. He redshirted during his first season before playing in eight games during the 2022 campaign.

Last season, he sarted four games and played in all 12, catching 15 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns. Hcored the first touchdown of the 2023 season, taking a screen pass 65 yards on the Razorbacks’ second play of the year before finishing with career-highs in catches (3) and yards (83).
