Former Ohio State quarterback could give Michigan first regular season loss since 2022

There’s no denying that the Michigan Wolverines have been one of the best college football programs over the last three seasons.

While this season may not have that same feel for the program, it still has yet to lose a regular season game since October of 2021 and hasn’t lost a game in general since a 51-45 loss to TCU on Dec. 31, 2022.

Quinn Ewers, a former Ohio State quarterback, might be able to change that tune. Ewers, who is from Texas, was among the top-ranked prospects in 247Sports history, earning a perfect 100 and being dubbed the best player in the Class of 2021.

He enrolled at Ohio State on August 15, 2021 after reclassifying. Unfortunately, he eventually transferred, but Ewers turned into a star and is now the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns.

The Longhorns are No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 1. Texas will travel to Michigan for a noon Saturday primetime match, one poised to be the best game of the Week 2 slate.

Ewers may not be a Buckeye any longer, but for at least one season, he got coached to despise TTUN.

Ewers may be able to do something Ohio State hasn’t done for a few years, beat TTUN, and if you’re looking at betting lines, there appears to be a good chance he gets the job done as well.
