Part of the culture of Notre Dame, part of the culture of Marcus Freeman is losing games when you’re a heavy favorite and you shouldn’t.
And that’s a problem.
That’s a problem when you’re not in a conference because you lost the wiggle room.
You’re not in the AC C, you can’t turn around and say, oh, ok, we lost three or four games is not a big deal.
If you’re Notre Dame, this loss undid all of the good that came from a win last week.
And now all of a sudden as confident as we were a week ago that this was a playoff team.
I, I’m equally confident now.
They don’t have a path to the playoff because they’re not in the conference and they blew a game.
They can’t get past that.
And I’m like, this feels like a, a catastrophic loss for the pro for the program.
Yeah, in my mind, mentally, I, I kind of have to compartmentalize the week one and week two for Notre Dame because I was so high on them after week one and thought that this was a Notre Dame team that was a sure uh a shoe in for the five season, the Coba playoff, uh, and then they go out and look like a completely different program.
I mean, guys, I’ll be honest, I’m watching this Notre Dame, Northern Illinois game.
I don’t see a huge difference athletically on the field between the two teams.
I don’t see a Notre Dame athlete who was just blowing the doors off of Northern Illinois, a middle of the Road Mac team.
I mean, I, I was, I did not, I did not see that on the field.
The offense was lackluster.
I thought Mike De Brock for as much as I’ve talked about on this show.
