Former Florida football quarterback Anthony Richardson continues to amaze with his arm strength, even in the NFL.
On Sunday, Richardson uncorked a 60-yard touchdown pass to Alec Pierce in the first quarter of an Indianapolis Colts game against the Houston Texans. The pass drew praise immediately on social media, as Richardson rocketed the ball, which traveled about 68 yards in the air and hit Pierce in stride for a touchdown. Later in the game, Richardson connected with Ashton Dulin on a 54-yard touchdown pass.

Despite Indianapolis losing 29-27 to in-division rival Houston, Richardson finished with an impressive 212 passing yards despite just 9-for-19 passing. He also added 56 rushing yards on six carries, a rushing touchdown, and the two long-passing TDs.
Richardson played three seasons at Florida, including one under coach Billy Napier. In his only season as the full-time starter in 2022, Richardson was 176-for-327 passing for 17 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 656 rushing yards, and nine touchdowns.
“Anthony Richardson is from a different planet,” Napier said at his Monday press conference when asked to compare Richardson to Florida’s new starter DJ Lagway. “… The more football he plays, the more games he plays, the more highlights he’s going to make every single week. I’ve never seen a guy who can throw it like that.”
Richardson was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft but appeared in just four games last season due to a shoulder injury. Despite his immense arm talent, Richardson is still a mixed bag, and his accuracy needs work.
