Recruiting
After a loss, you know that the vultures are coming out to try and wreak havoc, and that is exactly what is happening to Notre Dame football.
While the Irish have done a great job of recruiting former players son’s, they also have done a great job with other NFL stars son’s. One of them is [autotag]Elijah Burress[/autotag], son of former wide receiver Plaxico, who starred at Michigan State.
The Spartans were late to offer Elijah, but according to this report by 247Sports Brian Dohn (subscription required), MSU is trying to get him to take a visit to East Lansing this fall. He said that he has to “really think about” it, so it may not be a forgone conclusion that he will visit.
Justin Griffin (left), of Passaic, is shown on his way to winning the 100 meters final, at the Passaic County Track and Field Championships, with a time of 11.09. Jeancarlos Mendoza, of the Hawthorne Bears came in second place with a time of 11.11. Elijah Burress, of DePaul came in third place with a time of 11.22. Logan Gray, of Lakeland came in fourth place with a time of 11.26, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Clifton.
Either way, teams are starting to see some cracks in Notre Dame’s armor, and are trying to take full advantage of it. Hopefully the younger Burress honors his initial commitment and stays with the Irish.
