SEC Power Rankings: Did Alabama fall after Week 2 win over South Florida?

In Week 2 of the 2024 SEC football season, the conference as a whole saw a mixed amount of results.

While programs such as Tennessee and Texas picked up impressive Top 25 wins, others such as Auburn and Mississippi State were not as fortunate, as each dropped their first games of the 2024 season. SEC play also officially began for the conference as Kentucky and South Carolina faced off in Lexington, while a few additional programs such as Alabama and Oklahoma picked up victories, but were not necessarily how you might’ve thought they would’ve happened.

So, as we now look ahead to Week 3, here are our latest SEC football power rankings, starting with No. 16.

Week 2 Result: 55-0 win vs. Alcorn State

Week 3 Opponent: at Georgia State

Previous Ranking: No. 14

2024 Record: 1-1 overall (0-0 in SEC)

Week 2 Result: 30-23 loss at Arizona State
