Fond du Lac and Oshkosh area Week 3 high school football recap

Here is the Week 3 high school football recap from throughout the Fond du Lac and Oshkosh area:

Lomira 28, Laconia 7

ROSENDALE – Lions senior running back Taylor Schaumberg carried 21 times for 166 yards (7.9 ypa) and three touchdowns and senior quarterback Jackson Goebel followed with 13 carries for 83 yards (6.4 ypa) and a rushing score to both lead Lomira (2-1) to a bounce-back victory.

Senior Jack Luedtke led the Lions with eight tackles while seniors Easton Zangl and Nathan Steinman followed with seven apiece. Zangl also had one of two interceptions for Lomira, along with senior Sam Schraufnagel (six tackles, sack), and both Caden Yanke and Steinman both added sacks for the Lions defense.

For Laconia (2-1), junior running back Jack Rens carried 14 times for 108 yards (7.7 ypa) and scored the Spartans’ lone touchdown.

Senior linebacker Colton Hagner had 11 tackles (six solo) and senior defensive back Cam Smit followed with seven, including a forced fumble.

Oshkosh North 42, Manitowoc Lincoln 7

OSHKOSH – The Spartans (2-1) attempted eight total passes, completed five, and three of which went for touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Bryce Ott went 2-of-4 for 40 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game with an injury. Fellow senior Charlie Clark then stepped up to complete 3-of-4 passes for 151 yards and two scores while also rushing for a touchdown.

Junior receiver Dalton Clark had two catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, fellow junior wideout Xavier Waters-Eaton had a 64-yard touchdown grab, and junior running back Jamare Scott had a 20-yard touchdown catch in addition to also rushing for 49 yards on seven carries with a second score.
