The Cincinnati Bearcats travel just under an hour north this weekend to battle one of their biggest rivals.

After a 28-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers, the Bearcats take on the Miami University RedHawks at Yager Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14. Kickoff is set for noon.

What channel is the Battle for the Victory Bell game on?

The Cincinnati vs. Miami game airs live on ESPNU and streams on Watch ESPN, Sling and Fubo, which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.

Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Miami RedHawks series history

Saturday’s game is the 128th meeting between the Bearcats and RedHawks, in what is known as the Battle for the Victory Bell. The first game between the two teams came in 1888, and it’s one of the oldest rivalries within the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.

Last year, Miami ended UC’s 16-game winning streak in the series with a 31-24 overtime upset at Nippert Stadium. Not long after, with the series at 60-60-7, Miami University canceled its return trips to Nippert in 2025 and 2028. UC then canceled scheduled games in 2027 and 2029 in Oxford.

The Bearcats are slated to play a neutral site game at Paycor Stadium against Miami University in 2026. It initially looked as if the rivalry series would end after that, but The Enquirer recently learned through UC sources the series could continue every few years. The plan would be a neutral site meeting.
