Alabama football vs Wisconsin: Live score updates, highlights from Week 3 game

For the first time since November 2006 — going all the way back to when “Borat” was the top-grossing movie in the country — Alabama football will be playing a true road game with someone other than Nick Saban as its coach.

Following a 2-0 start to coach Kalen DeBoer’s tenure, the Crimson Tide will face what will likely be its stiffest test of the young 2024 college football season with a game Saturday at Wisconsin.

The game against the Badgers will be just Alabama’s second road contest against a power-conference program since 2012 and its first against a Big Ten team since 2011, when it defeated a top-20 Penn State team 27-11 in what would be one of Joe Paterno’s final games coaching the Nittany Lions.

The Tide is coming off a 42-16 victory last Saturday against South Florida, a game in which it led by just five, 21-16, with six minutes remaining. In the victory, quarterback Jalen Milroe had four total touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) while freshman wideout Ryan Williams continued to impressive, with four catches for a team-high 68 yards and a touchdown.

Alabama will face a Wisconsin team that has looked shaky in coach Luke Fickell’s second season at the helm. The Badgers are 2-0, but got there with uncomfortably close home wins against Western Michigan and South Dakota. Wisconsin won both games by 14 points, but trailed the Broncos with 11 minutes remaining in its season opener and led the FCS Coyotes by only seven with eight minutes to play.
