CENTERBURG — Northmor remains the lone undefeated team in the Marion area, but it wasn’t easy staying that way Friday night in Week 4 of high school football.
The Golden Knights (4-0, 1-) led 21-6 in the first quarter, but Centerburg (2-2, 0-1) rallied for 20 unanswered points to take a 26-21 lead in the third period. Northmor ended with a 76-yard touchdown from from A.J. Bower to Cowin Becker and later a 15-yard TD pass to Bo Landin to take a 34-26 win in the first Knox Morrow Athletic Conference game of the season.

Becker did it all on offense. He led with 186 rushing yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns and paced the squad with nine receptions for 145 yards and two more touchdowns. Bower was 14 of 24 passing for 216 yards and three TDs with one interception.
Northmor outgained the Trojans 441-319, and the team was especially good in late down situations, going 9 of 19 on third downs and 2-for-2 on fourth downs. The Trojans were just 4 of 11 on third downs and 1 of 7 on fourth downs.
