Texas football claimed a third-consecutive blowout win to open the season on Saturday over UTSA, and it was enough for Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns to move up in the polls.
Texas, which beat the Roadrunners 56-7 at Royal-Memorial Stadium, leapfrogged idle Ohio State into the No. 2 spot in the US LBM Coaches Poll released on Sunday.
The Longhorns remain behind top-ranked Georgia, which survived an upset scare on the road against Kentucky. They received 10 first-place votes from the coaches after netting just one last week.
