CLEMSON — Clemson football has an official start time for its last game of September.
The ACC announced Monday that the No. 19-ranked Tigers (1-1) will face Stanford (1-1) at 7 p.m. ET on Sept. 28, at Memorial Stadium and will air nationally on ESPN.
This will be the second all-time meeting between the programs. Clemson defeated Stanford 27-21 in the Gator Bowl in 1986. The Cardinals were among three teams to join the ACC this season and will travel from the West Coast to the East Coast to battle the Tigers.
The Tigers rose to No. 19 in the coaches poll and No. 21 in the AP poll after having a bye week. They face NC State in their first conference game this Saturday before hosting Stanford.
The Cardinals will battle Syracuse on the road Friday in their first ACC game before traveling to Clemson on Sept. 28.
