Auburn target Ousmane Kromah sets commitment date

.

One of Auburn’s top targets from the 2025 recruiting cycle is ready to announce his commitment.

Ousmane Kromah, a four-star running back from Leesburg, Georgia, tells On3’s Jeffrey Lee that he plans to announce his commitment on Saturday, Sept. 28, the same day that Auburn hosts Oklahoma at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Experts feel great about Auburn’s chances to land Kromah. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Auburn beating out Georgia and Florida State with a 92.3% forecast while Auburn has two crystal ball predictions from recruiting analysts Tom Loy and Christian Clemente of 247Sports. It helps that Kromah has been a frequent visitor to the Plains since the 2024 season kicked off in August. So far, Kromah has been in attendance for Auburn’s wins over Alabama A&M and New Mexico.

“Why would I not want to come back?” Kromah said in a recent interview with On3. “It’s always a great atmosphere, always great energy, always good to be around (the people). They always make me feel welcome. It’s just great to be back in general. I just wanted to come back and be around the good people and just enjoy my time being down here.”

Ahead of Kromah’s commitment, Steve Wiltfong of On3 gives Auburn the advantage. However, its biggest challenger will be Kromah’s home-state school, Georgia. Expect a tight battle between Hugh Freeze and Kirby Smart heading into Kromah’s commitment date.

Kromah is a top-10 running back from the 2025 cycle according to every major recruiting outlet. He ranks as high as No. 5 by both On3 and Rivals standards and is the No. 10 recruit from Georgia according to Rivals’ rankings.
