Breaking down the Tennessee vs Oklahoma SEC opener with Vols Wire

.

The Oklahoma Sooners and Tennessee Volunteers will kick off SEC play in a top-15 matchup that will have the eyes of the college football world upon them. ESPN “College GameDay” will be in Norman to highlight the festivities, and ABC put the big-time matchup in primetime.

Both teams come in at 3-0, but the Tennessee Volunteers have looked incredible, outscoring their opponents by an average score of 63.7 to 4.3 points per game. They’ve ridden a running game that is one of the best in the nation, averaging 336.3 yards per game, good for third in the country.

The Sooners have been carried by a strong defensive effort, one that has limited opponents to just 77.7 rushing yards per game through three weeks.
