Arkansas football defensive back Jaylon Braxton will miss his second straight game when the Hogs travel to face Auburn this week, according to the SEC student-athlete availability report released Wednesday night.
Braxton dressed but did not play a snap in the 37-27 win over UAB. Head coach Sam Pittman previously expressed optimism the starting cornerback would return for the SEC opener.
Center Addison Nichols is probable for the upcoming game against Auburn. Nichols played just three snaps in the 37-27 win over UAB after re-aggravated an ankle injury on the Razorbacks’ first drive. Pittman said Nichols dealt with the injury in practice leading up to Arkansas’ game against the Blazers.

Arkansas (2-1) hits the road to face Auburn (2-1) on Saturday (2:30 p.m., ESPN). It will be the SEC opener for both teams. Arkansas’ lone loss came at Oklahoma State, while the Tigers fell at home to California the same week.
This is the first year the SEC is requiring its schools to provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in conference games. The protocol stretches across football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.
A final report will be released 90 minutes before game time.
Here’s the updated availability status for Arkansas and Auburn players.
