COLUMBIA — South Carolina football quarterback LaNorris Sellers will not play on Saturday vs Akron (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPNU) according to a report made by college football reporter Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports and 247Sports on Friday night.
Sellers injured an ankle right before halftime against LSU last week and played in only one drive in the second half of the game for the Gamecocks (2-1) before backup Robby Ashford took over. Ashford will reportedly start Saturday night vs the Zips (1-2).

Doty has played quarterback for South Carolina before, and Beville played three seasons at Pittsburgh before playing the last two years at Oklahoma. He’s played in 16 college games total.
