Michigan-USC ‘College GameDay’ predictions: Who picked Wolverines, Trojans?

For just the 11th time in the history of the storied football programs, Michigan and USC will be playing against one another.

This time, that matchup will come not in the Rose Bowl, where they’ve met eight previous times, but as conference foes, with the Trojans playing their first Big Ten game since joining the league in advance of the 2024 season.

For coach Sherrone Moore and the No. 17 Wolverines, Saturday’s game will be a chance to reassert themselves as a legitimate threat to make the 12-team College Football Playoff after a blowout 31-12 loss to Texas earlier this month.

USC, which has risen from No. 23 to No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll since the start of the season, will look to continue an undefeated start to the season, which began with a neutral-site victory over then-No. 12 LSU.

Though it didn’t earn the “College GameDay” treatment — ESPN’s popular pregame show was broadcasting from Norman, Oklahoma ahead of Saturday night’s game between No. 13 Oklahoma and No. 7 Tennessee — the game between Michigan and USC is one of the biggest on the Week 4 calendar.

Here’s who the “College GameDay” crew of Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, celebrity guest-picker Blake Shelton and more picked between the Wolverines and Trojans:
