Week 5 Football Roundup: Northmor stays atop the KMAC standings, plus more results

IBERIA — The Golden Knights took it to the defending champions of the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference.

In a Week 5 high school football game Friday night, Northmor romped to a 41-6 home victory over Danville.

Northmor quarterback A.J. Bower put up 321 passing yards on 14 of 18 completions, throwing for five touchdowns and one interception.

Cowin Becker was a dual threat, running it six times for 65 yards and a touchdown and catching it five times for 120 yards and two more scores. Jax Wenger added four catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while Bo Landing caught three for 88 yards and a score. Brady Carr intercepted a pass for Northmor.

The Knights (5-0, 2-0) held Danville (3-2, 1-1) to 169 yards of total offense and 10 first downs.

Highland 28, Marion Harding 9

The Scots rebounded from last week’s loss to Pleasant and picked up their first Mid Ohio Athletic Conference win of the season.

Kolton Stover led Highland (2-3, 1-1) with 271 passing yards on 13 of 28 throwing, adding two touchdowns. Zach Church ran in a touchdown and caught one, ending with seven receptions for 76 yards, while Kadyn Reichenbach made a 49-yard TD catch, and Kort Sears had two receptions for 130 yards. Sam Hernandez led the Scots with 41 rushing yards on 19 tries.

Harding (1-4, 0-2) was limited to nine yards on 19 rushes. Connor Pennington was 20-for-46 for 215 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Ray J Scott-Harbolt hauled in 12 passes for 128 yards and the team’s lone TD, while Parker Davis had three for 40 yards.
