Week 4 of the college football season is when the changes that resulted from recent conference realignment really start to sink in with three early league games featuring high stakes in the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 on Saturday.
No. 13 Oklahoma makes its SEC debut hosting ESPN’s ‘College Gameday’ and No. 7 Tennessee for a juicy matchup involving the return of Volunteers coach Josh Heupel to Norman, Oklahoma, where he led the Sooners to a national championship as a quarterback and then got fired by Bob Stoops as an offensive coordinator.
No. 12 USC also opens up Big Ten play for the first time at No. 17 Michigan, where the Wolverines are making a change at starting quarterback and going with run-first option Alex Orji over senior Davis Warren. In the Big 12, meanwhile, No. 10 Utah visits No. 15 Oklahoma State for a battle of conference favorites in the Utes’ first league game since leaving the Pac-12 this offseason.
In all, there are 17 ranked teams in the current US LBM Coaches Poll in action this weekend. Here’s the full Football Bowl Subdivision schedule for Saturday during Week 4 of the 2024 college football season, including game times and how to watch:
