MANHATTAN — One game into the Big 12 Conference schedule, Kansas State football already has ground to make up.
A disappointing 38-9 road loss to Brigham Young on Saturday night in their conference opener suddenly brings a heightened sense of urgency to this week’s matchup when the Wildcats (3-1, 0-1 Big 12) play host to an Oklahoma State team (3-1, 0-1) in a similar position.
What had been billed as a potential Big 12 championship preview is now more about staying alive when No. 20 Oklahoma State and No. 25 K-State square at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Cowboys also lost their conference opener, falling at home to preseason favorite Utah, 22-19.
OSU has been a troublesome opponent for K-State in the previous five years under coach Chris Klieman, including a 29-21 loss last year in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The one exception was 2022, the last time the teams met in Manhattan, when K-State throttled the Cowboys, 48-0.

Kansas State football tickets vs. Oklahoma State
K-State got home from Provo, Utah, in the wee hours of the morning Sunday to learn that kickoff for Oklahoma State was set for 11 a.m. on ESPN. The BYU game started at 9:30 p.m. central time and did not end until after midnight.
The morning kickoff means an early wakeup call for K-State fans driving in from out of town. Fans who don’t yet have tickets for the game can find them on StubHub. Prices start as low as $103 as of the afternoon on Sunday, Sept. 22.
