Lohud football: Who’s your pick for player of the week?

We’re spotlighting players who had a profound impact on the previous weekend.

Review all our finalists got done in between the lines on Friday and Saturday, then vote for the player you believe was a game-changer. The poll will remain open until 3 p.m. on Wednesday and we’ll announce the winner on social media.

Luke Foisset (Valhalla)

Ahmady Dolcine, Ardsley

The junior running back was a clock-killer in a 21-20 win over Nanuet, gaining 203 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries.

Nicholas Ebner Borst, Scarsdale

The senior quarterback helped move the Raiders to 2-0, scoring on runs of 1, 18 and 8 yards in a win over John Jay-East Fishkill.

Tre Ficara, Brewster

The junior running back had 126 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and three receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown during a 21-0 win over John Jay-Cross River.

Nazir Fields, Yonkers Force

The senior quarterback was named offensive MVP in a Superintendent’s Trophy win over the Yonkers Brave. He ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns and threw for two more scores.

Tyler Galante, Yorktown

The junior wideout had five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown in a win over Lakeland. He also ran a punt back 85 yards for a score, finishing with more than 200 all-purpose yards.

Matt Haggerty, Iona Prep

The senior linebacker came up with 15 tackles in the Gaels’ CHSFL opener, a 42-13 road win over rival Stepinac.
