Texas A&M’s Week 4 26-20 home win over Bowling Green wasn’t the most impressive victory. Still, in hindsight, it may have been the best thing for a roster knowing the mistakes that need to be fixed before the thick of SEC play begins, starting with the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday afternoon.

This week, head coach Mike Elko is once again preparing to start Marcel Reed at quarterback for his third consecutive game as Conner Weigman’s ongoing shoulder injury continues to linger. Facing an explosive Arkansas offense, Razorbacks quarterback Taylen Green has had his ups and downs this season and could give the Aggie defense problems with his legs.

If the Aggies can get past the Razorbacks, the critical Week 6 home matchup against undefeated Missouri awaits, while the rest of the October schedule looks manageable if the Elko and his staff can clean up the issues that nearly led another loss last weekend.

Looking at Texas A&M’s remaining eight opponents, here are the toughest teams with the Aggies will face down the stretch.

2024 record: 1-3

Analysis: Nothing has changed here. This New Mexico State team is very bad and shouldn’t pose an issue deep into the season. I expect an Aggie blowout.
