It’s again time to see how Joel Klatt sees the country’s top teams, particularly Ohio State. The Buckeyes took care of business as expected against Marshall but looked sloppy at times. Even still, OSU racked up 49 points and seemed to be in control for much of the game.
The defense gave up its first touchdowns of the season, although one score was questionable. All in all, Ohio State still looks like one of the best teams in America, and Joel Klatt believes it to be true as well. Let’s take a look at how the Fox Sports analyst ranked his top teams after Week 4 and where OSU stands in relation to teams like Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee and others.
Let’s get into it.
10. Utah Utes
Utah’s Isaac Wilson (11) looks to throw a pass in the second half of the college football between the Oklahoma State University Cowboys and the Utah Utes at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., Saturday, Sept., 21, 2024.
Klatt’s Ranking Last Week: Unranked
What we think
The Utah defense is for real. Anytime you hold Mike Gundy’s Oklahoma State Cowboys under 20 points, you know you’re doing something right. However, until Cam Rising is back and fully healthy, the offense leaves much to be desired.
9. Oregon Ducks
Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel (8) hands off the ball to Oregon Ducks running back Jordan James (20) during the annual rivalry game against the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Ore.
Klatt’s Ranking Last Week: No. 10
What we think
Oregon was idle this week. The more we see this Ohio State running attack the more we don’t think the Ducks are going to be able to hang in the trenches.
8. Penn State Nittany Lions
Sep 21, 2024; University Park, Pennsylvania, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Beau Pribula (9) runs with the ball while avoiding a tackle from Kent State Golden Flashes…
