Five games to watch in Week Six of PA high school football in Bucks County

The interesting games just keep coming during the 2024 high school football season in Bucks County and Eastern Montgomery County.

Here is a closer look at five of the games worth watching for Week Six, plus the remainder of the weekend schedule:

Neshaminy (4-1) at Central Bucks West (3-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

Neshaminy handled Abington 37-0 last week, with CB West suffering a 22-17 loss to Central Bucks South on the game’s final play.

Neshaminy junior quarterback Mike Eckart threw a pair of touchdown passes to senior right end Connor Frederick (5 yards and 1 yard) while senior running back Jason Wilmot carried 12 times for 80 yards and two TDs. Senior running back Colby Bracey also scored on a 1-yard run.

Senior lineman Owen Swartz had three sacks as the Neshaminy defense held Abington to 70 yards of total offense.

The Bucks did a lot of things well against unbeaten CB South, limiting the Titans to 97 rushing yards on 26 carries (3.7 average), which was less than half of the 225.3 yards the Titans averaged (6.5 per carry) in their first four games.

West senior Ryan Clemens ran for 89 yards on 20 carries, kicked a 33-yard field goal, converted two PATs and had a solid outing at linebacker. He scored the go-ahead TD on a 9-yard jaunt out of the Wildcat formation in the final minute.

Quakertown (2-3) at Council Rock North (1-4), Friday, 7 p.m.
