FAMU football star cornerback Kendall Bohler among first selections for 2025 HBCU Legacy Bowl

Florida A&M cornerback Kendall Bohler is HBCU Legacy Bowl bound.

On Thursday, the annual pre-draft showcase game for HBCU football players announced Bohler as one of its first selections.

Bohler joins Grambling State quarterback Myles Crawley, Virginia Union running back Jada Byers, and Howard wide receiver Kenny Gallop Jr. as the HBCU Legacy Bowl’s first selections, which began last Thursday, Sept. 19.

Bohler is the first defensive player off the board for the 2025 HBCU Legacy Bowl.

The fourth annual HBCU Legacy Bowl will be played on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Yulman Stadium on Tulane University’s campus in New Orleans.

A good showing for Bohler could lead to NFL opportunities. For example, former FAMU receiver Xavier Smith won the HBCU Legacy Bowl Offensive Most Valuable Player award in 2023. Smith is now a receiver and return man for the Los Angeles Rams.

This season, Bohler is projected to be one of the FCS’ top cornerbacks, placing on rankings by Sports Illustrated and HERO Sports.

Before the season, the graduate student Bohler was selected as a Boxtorow HBCU All-American and All-Southwestern Athletic Conference First Team. The Reese’s Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine…
