Oregon State Beavers run onto the field before the annual rivalry game against the Oregon Ducks on Sept. 14 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis.
After bulldozing its way to a win over a Big Ten opponent last weekend, Oregon State will get a chance to recharge in Week 5 of the college football season.
The Beavers (3-1) are coming off a 38-21 drubbing of Purdue in Corvallis last weekend. The win served as the latest star showing from running backs Jam Griffin and Anthony Hankerson, who combined to rush for 237 yards and three touchdowns on 42 carries against the Boilermakers.
“Just thought it was a complete win,” Oregon State coach Trent Bray said afterward. “I think early on, the defense kept us in it. They had some big stops, turnovers in the red zone that kept us in it, and the offense got rolling. So very happy with the team effort. There are things — definitely we can’t let them run the ball like that — but very happy with the effort, the way they responded and it was just a good game for us.”
