Minnesota football played a far-from-perfect first half vs. Michigan, but the Golden Gophers may have found some momentum to build on in the second half of this year’s Little Brown Jug rivalry game.
And it came on a pretty impressive Hail Mary throw in the winding moment of the first half vs. No. 12 Michigan.
On the brisk of being shut out in the first half, Minnesota tight end Nick Kallerup pulled the ball out of the hands of Michigan defensive back Zeke Berry for a 44-yard reception to put the Gophers at the 1-yard line. Minnesota kicker Dragan Kesich would hit the 20-yard field goal a second later to put PJ Fleck’s team on the board.

It was the lone reception for Kallerup in the first half vs. the Wolverines.
The throw from Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer to his tight end came a play after Michigan sacked Brosmer for the fourth time in the first half, this one coming from Wolverines defensive linemen Rayshaun Benny and Derrick Moore for a loss of eight yards.
Minnesota is currently trailing Michigan 21-3 in the third quarter of Saturday’s Big Ten contest. Brosmer finished 11 of 17 passing for 114 yards and an interception in the first half against Michigan at The Big House in Ann Arbor.
