Texas football’s Friday injury report offered no further information on the progress of Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers as he recovers from an abdominal strain.
Ewers is listed as questionable on the updated report. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian had said earlier in the week that the Longhorns would decide Friday whether Ewers would play against Mississippi State (1-3) on Saturday (3:15 p.m., SEC Network).
Texas (4-0) started Arch Manning in a Week 4 win over Louisiana-Monroe, with Ewers sidelined by the injury.
