Juggling circus catches. Building and blowing a dominant lead. Trading touchdowns on one-play drives to determine the winner.
Saturday’s Alabama football game against Georgia played like a video game, with the Crimson Tide emerging with a 41-34 victory in a back-and-forth college football game. To some fans who are used to the traditional defensive games that dominated SEC football for a long time, the Bulldogs-Crimson Tide felt more like a game played between friends on, say, “EA Sports College Football 25.”

Ironically enough, Alabama’s game was won by a pair of freshmen, including 17-year-old Ryan Williams — who should have been playing the college video game after finishing his homework rather than dominating on the field — and defensive back Zabien Brown. But, the first college football video game in 11 years did predict the outcome of Saturday’s game, to a degree, per Williams.
“We played NCAA last night and it was like a close game and he caught the game-winning pick-six,” Williams told reporters in postgame on Saturday. “This morning I was like, ‘Bro you’re going to catch a pick.’ And he was like ‘Of course that’s what I’m going to try to do anyway.’
“Next thing you know, game-winning interception. … That’s how I lost my voice. I was screaming, ‘I told you, I told you.'”
