Wisconsin absent, Big Ten well-represented in latest AP Poll

The Wisconsin Badgers (2-2) are still unranked in the latest AP Poll after their 38-21 loss to USC on Saturday.

The Badgers are not particularly close to being ranked either, as they have now dropped back-to-back contests after starting 2-0. Coming as no surprise, Wisconsin was also not included in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll as well.

In regards to the AP Poll as a whole, there’s a new No. 1 overall team as Alabama unseated Texas for the top spot. The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia 41-34 in a shootout Saturday night, earning the top spot.

The new top five is Alabama at No 1.., Texas at No. 2, Ohio State at No. 3, Tennessee at No. 4, and Georgia at No. 5.

The Big Ten teams in the AP Poll top 25 include Ohio State at No. 3, Oregon at No. 6, Penn State at No. 7, Michigan at No. 10, USC at No. 11, Indiana at No. 23 and Illinois at No. 24.

The Badgers will return to action Saturday, hosting Purdue at Camp Randall Stadium at 11:00 a.m. CT.
