Week 5 of the 2024 college football season is in the books.

Here’s how every college football team in the state of Oklahoma fared.

NCAA Division I

Oklahoma

No. 18-ranked OU (4-1, 1-1 SEC) earned a 27-21 road win over Auburn. The Sooners were led by freshman quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr., who completed 10 of his 15 passes for 161 yards in his first career start. He also ran the ball 14 times for 69 yards and one touchdown. Next up is a bye week.

Oklahoma State

No. 20 OSU (3-2, 0-2 Big 12) suffered a 42-20 road loss to No. 25 Kansas State. The Cowboys’ top performer was redshirt junior wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling, who caught seven passes for 157 yards and one touchdown. Next up is a home game against West Virginia at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Tulsa

Tulsa (2-3, 0-1 AAC) suffered a 52-20 road loss to North Texas. The Golden Hurricane’s top performer was redshirt junior defensive end Owen Ostroski, who recorded four tackles (one for loss) and one sack. Next up is a home game against Army at 11 a.m. Saturday.

NCAA Division II

Central Oklahoma

No. 23 Central Oklahoma (4-0, 3-0 MIAA) earned a 49-24 home win over Fort Hays State. The Bronchos were led by junior wide receiver Terrill Davis, who caught nine passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns. UCO is the state’s last remaining undefeated college football team at any level. Next up is a road game against Missouri Southern at 2 p.m. Saturday.

East Central

East Central (0-4, 0-4 GAC) suffered a 20-10 road loss to Oklahoma Baptist. The Tigers’ top performer was junior wide receiver Deqavius Bowens, who caught three passes for 87 yards and one touchdown. Next up is a home game against Arkansas-Monticello…
