The Wisconsin Badgers return to the football field on Saturday against the Purdue Boilermakers.
Both teams are off to poor starts to the 2024 season. Wisconsin is 2-2 with two less-than-convincing wins against nonconference opponents, then two blowout losses to No. 1 Alabama and No. 11 USC.
Purdue, meanwhile, is 1-3 and just fired its offensive coordinator. It began the season with a 49-0 win over Indiana State. The next three games: 66-7 loss to No. 14 Notre Dame, 38-21 loss to Oregon State and Saturday’s 28-10 loss to Nebraska.
The matchup should give Wisconsin a much-needed opportunity to right the ship and point the season in a positive direction.
