Which South Jersey high school football players had the best performances of Week 4?

Last week, our readers selected Cedar Creek’s Riley Hoffacker, who earned 47.6 percent of the 45K votes recorded. Burlington Township’s Aiden Binns and Lenape’s Derrick Hammond rounded out the top three vote getters.

Performances of the Week

RJ Blount, Pennsauken. The junior rushed for over 300 yards and scored six touchdowns during a 49-29 win over Eastern. Blount has nine touchdowns in his last two games and 11 for the season.

Christian Braxton, Camden. The junior ran 30 times for 215 yards and two scores to spark the Panthers’ 44-27 triumph over Rancocas Valley. Braxton leads the team with 489 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in five games.

Brody Deiter, Rancocas Valley. The senior had one of the best receiving games in South Jersey history when he made nine catches for 254 yards in a 44-27 loss at Camden. The receiving yards is a program record, ranks second in Burlington County history and fifth on South Jersey’s all-time list, according to local historian Chuck Langerman. Holy Cross’ Isaac Irby holds the South Jersey record with 290 set in 1999.

Nate Klecko, Paul VI. The sophomore rushed 14 times for 100 yards and a touchdown and turned his only catch into another score during the Eagles’ 28-0 win over Willingboro. It was the second time Klecko…
