Missouri football lands three-star, 6-foot-8 tight end in Class of 2025

Missouri football is back on the recruiting trail.

After a brief hiatus following a hot summer run of recruiting, the Tigers went a couple months without adding anyone else to their Class of 2025. That pause ended Monday evening, when three-star tight end Dakotah Terrell committed to Mizzou, per a post to his X account.

Terrell is listed at 6 foot 8, 215 pounds by the recruiting service 247Sports. He is a two-way athlete at Pocola High in eastern Oklahoma, also playing as a defensive end.

He is ranked as the No. 38 tight end in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, and as the No. 12 player in Oklahoma.

Arkansas, which is nearby his hometown, was among the schools to offer Terrell through his recruitment. Several other SEC schools, including Texas A&M, Florida and Ole Miss, also extended offers, as did Oklahoma and Oklahoma State from his home state.

Terrell is the 17th player to verbally commit to MU coach Eli Drinkwitz’s next class, and the first since offensive lineman Keiton Jones on July 7. He is the first player expected to play tight end who is committed to Missouri in this cycle.

Mizzou now has the No. 16-ranked group in the Class of 2025, which is good for ninth in the SEC. The Tigers’ class is comprised of nine four-star commits and, with the addition of Terrell, eight three-star prospects.
