Vote for the El Paso Children’s Hospital high school athlete of the week for Sept. 24-28

The El Paso Times will honor high school athletes this year every week that you, the readers, help determine. We will be taking weekly nominations and will release a list of finalists for the El Paso Children’s Hospital High School Athlete of the Week at 7 a.m. each Tuesday.

Students in all varsity sports are eligible to be nominated. The poll will close at 3 p.m. each Thursday, and the winners will be announced Friday.

Nominations can be submitted through email at [email protected] or by contacting Felix Chavez through social media on X.

Here are this week’s nominees:

Jordan Morales, Hanks football. Morales was 25 of 37 passing for 351 yards and six touchdown passes against Andress.

Jamari Milton, Andress football. He passed for 354 yards and five touchdowns against Hanks.

Angel Valenzuela, Irvin football. He had 21 tackles and the game-sealing interception against Bowie.

Oscar Flores, Austin football. Flores scored the winning touchdown in 36-35 vs. Ysleta. He also scored a TD and two-point conversion to pull Panthers within 35-29.

Cam’ron Johnson, Americas football. He rushed for 265 yards and scored touchdowns and had 22 yards rushing in win vs. Parkland.

Jadarius Sanders, El Dorado football. Anders had 163 yards receiving and…
