Five-star George County quarterback Deuce Knight announced he flipped his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn football on social media Wednesday.
Knight is ranked the No. 5 quarterback in the country and the No. 29 recruit overall in the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports Composite.
Knight, who had been committed to Notre Dame since Sept. 18, 2023, visited Auburn four times since then.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound senior, who had started at George County in 2022, transferred to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville in late July 2023. He played three games with Lipscomb, then returned to George County.
This season, he is 23-for-35 for 516 yards passing, with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions in three games.
With Knight’s commitment, Auburn lands its second five-star recruit in the 2025 class, which is ranked No. 3 in the nation, according to 247Sports.
Knight was selected as the No. 3 recruit in the Clarion Ledger’s Dandy Dozen 2024 list.
