Texas A&M (4-1, 2-0 SEC) will head back to Kyle Field for the fourth time this season. On Saturday afternoon, the Aggies will host the undefeated Missouri Tigers (4-0, 1-0 SEC) as both teams look to earn their first significant wins this season.
For the Tigers, who are coming off their bye week at the perfect time, this will be the first true road test of the season, while the Aggies are less than a week removed from their 21-17 win over Arkansas inside AT&T Stadium.
This week, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko noted the Aggies’ progress over the past three games but is well aware of the work ahead. At quarterback, redshirt freshman Marcel Reed is slated to make his fourth consecutive start of the year, even though Conner Weigman returned to practice this week in limited fashion.
While Reed needs to improve his accuracy, Texas A&M’s defense will need to make a similar impact to what we saw against the Razorbacks, especially junior defensive end Nic Scourton, who recorded two sacks and four tackles for loss in his best game.
Uniform-wise, Missouri will reportedly wear all whites, while the Texas A&M media team has announced that the Aggies will go with the all-maroon look for the first time this season. Here’s the video featuring senior wide receiver Jahdae Walker.
Texas A&M will host Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11:00 a.m. CT. The game will air on ABC and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
