LSU football has a week to prepare for its first conference matchup with a ranked opponent this season.
Fresh off a 42-10 drubbing over South Alabama, the No. 12 Tigers (4-1, 1-0 SEC) have Week 6 off before hosting No. 11 Ole Miss (4-1, 0-1), who takes on South Carolina on the road after dropping a home game 20-17 against Kentucky.
True freshman running back Caden Durham had a breakout game against the Jaguars and will certainly be a key part of the Tigers’ gameplan in the two weeks leading into their Ole Miss matchup, should he be healthy for the game. The former four-star recruit took seven carries for 128 yards and a touchdown, catching three passes for 89 yards and another score.
