The top player in the Class of 2026 is now in the Class of 2025.
Jahkeem Stewart, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound defensive lineman from Louisiana decided to reclassify and head to college a year earlier than was originally scheduled.
Stewart attended St. Augustine (New Orleans, La.) before transferring to Edna Karr (New Orleans, La.).
He posted his decision on social media, saying: “I have officially reclassified to the 2025 class and will be attending Edna Karr High School. I greatly appreciate everyone at Edna Karr and Inspire NOLA Charter Schools for giving me the opportunity to continue pursuing my goals and for welcoming me with open arms. I am forever grateful. I will graduate in December 2024, sign my National Letter of Intent on December 3 during the early signing period, and enroll in college later in December.”
His sophomore year, the defensive talent racked up 90 tackles, with 30 tackles for a loss, and 20 sacks.
Per Crescentcitysports.com:
Recruiting outlets have dubbed him an Alpha Dog-type of player despite his limited playing time at the high school level. Physically overwhelming at times, he is still developing a complete repertoire. He possesses exceptional physical tools and has shown flashes of stardom, demonstrating quick-twitch athleticism and great reach. He has exhibited dominance in camps against elite competition and uses his hands exceptionally well with a strong punch.
His four official visits scheduled include Oregon on October 12, LSU on November 9, USC on November 16, and Ohio State on November 30. Two additional visits are likely to Alabama and Georgia.
