Week 7 Results: Northmor dominates in KMAC showdown; Highland holds off Galion

HOWARD — Northmor showed out in the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference showdown Friday night at East Knox.

With both teams tied atop the standings with 3-0 league records, the Golden Knights dominated in a 42-0 victory to highlight Week 7 Marion-area football action.

Northmor (7-0) held the Bulldogs (4-3) to 187 yards of total offense, while it put up 439 yards. A.J. Bowers was perfect, going 13-for-13 for 341 yards passing and four touchdowns. Jax Wenger caught seven passes for 203 yards and touchdown grabs of 51, 59 and 25 yards, plus he caught an interception on defense.

Also for the Knights, Bo Landin added three receptions for 85 yards, and Cowin Becker came up with a 42-yard TD catch and ran for 37 yards. Carson Campbell led the rushing attack with 61 yards on 13 tries and two TDs.

Highland 24, Galion 21

The Scots (3-4, 2-2) led 14-0 in the first quarter and 21-7 at halftime. A Malin Fichtner field goal after a Galion (4-3, 1-3) touchdown then put Highland up 24-14.

Highland recovered two fumbles, and Gavin Winggand and Kolton Stover both picked off passes as Stover ran his back for a touchdown. Stover also added 243 yards passing on 18 of 29 throwing, including an 82-yarder for touchdown by Kadyn Reichenbach who ended with six catches for 122 yards. Zach Church ran in the other Highland score.

Clear Fork 14, Marion Harding 13

The Colts (2-5, 1-3) led 7-0 in the first half, but Harding came back to take a 13-7 lead early in the fourth quarter. Clear Fork then won it with 2:15 left in the game with a touchdown and extra point.

The Presidents (1-6, 0-4) had 142 total yards and CF had 141. Connor Pennington was 15-for-33 passing…
