Week 6 of the 2024 college football season is in the books.

Here’s how every college football team in the state of Oklahoma fared.

NCAA Division I

Oklahoma

No. 16-ranked Oklahoma (4-1, 1-1 SEC) had a bye week. Next up is a rivalry game against No. 1 Texas at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dallas.

Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State (3-3, 0-3 Big 12) suffered a 38-14 home loss to West Virginia. The Cowboys’ top performer was redshirt senior linebacker Jeff Roberson, who recorded 12 tackles (two for loss) and one sack. Next up is a bye week.

Tulsa

Tulsa (2-4, 0-2 AAC) suffered a 49-7 home loss to Army. The Golden Hurricane’s top performer was graduate quarterback Cooper Legas, who ran the ball 17 times for 81 yards and one touchdown. He also completed four of his seven passes (57.1%) for 20 yards. Next up is a bye week.

NCAA Division II

Central Oklahoma running back Jaylen Cottrell breaks free during a road win over Missouri Southern State on Saturday Joplin, Missouri. Cottrell, a former Lexington High School star, rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns.

Central Oklahoma

No. 17 Central Oklahoma (5-0, 4-0 MIAA) earned a 59-24 road win over Missouri Southern State. The Bronchos were led by junior running back Jaylen Cottrell, who ran the ball 11 times for 161 yards and two touchdowns. UCO is the state’s last remaining undefeated college football team at any level. Next up is a home game against Northwest Missouri State at 1 p.m. Saturday.

East Central

East Central (1-4, 1-4 GAC) earned a 42-17 home win over Arkansas-Monticello. The Tigers were led by redshirt freshman Sergio Kennedy, who completed 20 of his 31 passes (64.5%) for 210 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran…
