2026 prospect Troy Pless has encouraging visit with Longhorns

In a 2026 recruiting class full of talent, one player who stands out is Troy Pless. The offensive lineman is one of the youngest players in his class but is drawing interest from some of the biggest programs in the country. That list includes the Longhorns , who have already had Pless to campus for a visit.

While Pless was in Austin, he saw how talented the offense was in a 51-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe. It was an experience that Pless will never forget and could impact his recruitment.

When speaking with OrangeBloods Senior Editor Jason Suchomel, Pless said, “I loved the environment. I loved how the crowd gets hyped. I loved how all the fans have so much love for Texas. And especially how the coaches show love to you. I got there (early), so all the coaches came up said what’s up.”

Although the Longhorns have yet to make a scholarship offer, it is a program Pless would consider. The Texas native also highlighted the program’s success with developing offensive linemen such as Kelvin Banks Jr. With Banks projected to be a first-round pick, Pless would be a welcome addition in 2026.

As the Longhorns continue to add talent for the future, Pless is a player who should get some consideration. He has also drawn interest from Texas Tech, Baylor, Arkansas, and North Texas, according to Rivals.

Over the next few months, Pless will be a player to watch as the Longhorns finish improving their 2026 class.
