Ole Miss football adds Washington State to 2025 schedule, replacing Wake Forest

OXFORD — The hole in Ole Miss football’s 2025 schedule has been filled.

The Rebels will host Washington State on Oct. 11, 2025, according to a news release from Ole Miss.

It is a one-year contract solely for next season. The move was necessary for Ole Miss after Wake Forest unceremoniously pulled out of its 2025 trip to Oxford earlier this season in a decision that frustrated Rebels coach Lane Kiffin.

It will be the first meeting between Ole Miss and Wazzou.

“The opportunity to face the University of Mississippi, with its rich football history, will be one our student-athletes, coaches and fans will certainly enjoy,” WSU athletic director Anne McCoy said in a news release.

The last SEC team that Wazzou played was at Auburn in 2013; the Tigers won 31-24.

Washington State is 4-1 this season, including a win against Washington.
