Perry 41, Mount St. Mary 7
Player of the game: Andrew Kuluk. The Maroons’ star tailback ran for 66 yards and two touchdowns on the night to help improve Perry’s record to 4-2. Kuluk also had 100 receiving yards on the night after a 34-yard touchdown pass from Maroons quarterback Bronson Bouher gave Perry its final score in the fourth quarter.
Key moment: As the Rockets sought to spark a comeback effort at the start of the second half, the Maroons’ defense blocked a punt, which was recovered by senior Whelan Carson at the 8-yard line. The play set up an 8-yard touchdown run by Kuluk, which extended Perry’s lead to 27 points.
Read option: Mount St. Mary is dealing with several injuries to starters throughout the roster. Sophomore quarterback Jefferson Hodge suffered a right foot injury in the first half and did not return, leaving sophomore tight end Jake Allison to take over under center in the second half. The injury came weeks after the Maroons’ initial starting quarterback, Harrison Tesio, went down with an ankle injury.
