DALLAS — OU football’s offense still hasn’t found an identity through six games this season.
The Sooners registered 237 total yards and didn’t score a touchdown in a 34-3 blowout loss to Texas in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday.
Quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr., the first true freshman to start in the rivalry for OU, completed 19 of his 30 passes for 148 yards.
With a tough schedule ahead, OU is still searching for answers on offense. The Sooners hope to get wide receiver Deion Burks, who was questionable in the SEC’s initial injury report last week, back for the South Carolina game.
In this edition of the “Sooners Xtra” podcast, The Oklahoman’s Ryan Aber, Colton Sulley and Joe Mussatto break down the Texas game, where the offense goes from here and look ahead to the game vs. the Gamecocks.
