VOTE: Week 8 South Bend Tribune High School Football Player of the Week

It’s now time to vote for the Week 8 South Bend Tribune High School Football Player of the Week, brought to you by the YMCA of Greater Michiana.

Seven players — five from Indiana and two from Michigan — are nominated for their performances on Oct. 11, 2024. Voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. You may vote as many times as you want throughout the duration of the poll. You can find the link to the poll by SCROLLING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

Here are the nominees, in alphabetical order by school.

Bremen senior Tyrus Graverson

Graverson had another all-around sensational performance in Bremen’s 46-38 win over Knox. He had 13 receptions for 235 yards and a touchdown on offense, kicked a 31-yard field goal and also recovered two onside kick attempts.

Buchanan junior Lucas Zeiger

In just his third week playing quarterback, Zeiger completed eight of 12 pass attempts for 198 yards and four touchdowns in a 51-12 win over Hartford.

Jimtown senior Ty Zartman

Zartman ran all over the LaVille defense, totaling 275 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in a 49-20 victory.

Michigan City junior Tristian Hart

Hart threw four touchdown passes in a 39-0 victory over LaPorte.

Mishawaka junior Drew Ginter

Ginter had two key defensive interceptions in the second half against Plymouth, both of which setup Cavemen touchdowns in the 34-10 win.

Niles senior Sam Rucker

Along with his 91 rushing yards and a touchdown, Rucker led the Vikings with 12 tackles in a 21-14 victory over rival Edwardsburg.

South Bend Saint Joseph sophomore Brayson Hurley

Hurley scored two rushing touchdowns and added a receiving score as well in a 49-0 win for the Huskies over South Bend Washington.
