The nationally ranked Illinois Fighting Illini continue Big Ten Conference college football season at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 against the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Illinois.
Coach Bret Bielema and the No. 21 Illini are coming off a 50-49 overtime victory against Purdue. Illinois, picked to finish 15th in the Big Ten by the USA TODAY Network, is also No. 22 in The Associated Press poll.
No. 22 Michigan (4-2) is coming off a bye week, but the week before that lost at Washington, 27-17, in a rematch of the 2024 national title game. The Wolverines were picked by USA TODAY to finish tied for third in the Big Ten with Penn State.
