Warren Central offensive lineman flipped his commitment from Iowa to Notre Dame on Monday.
Herron, rated as a four-star interior lineman by On3Sports, had been committed to Iowa since June. However, Herron took an official visit to South Bend over the weekend for the Stanford game and committed to the Irish on Monday.
Herron previously committed to Iowa over offers from Cincinnati and Northwestern. He also considered offers at the time from Boston College, Louisville and West Virginia.
Herron is ranked as the No. 272 prospect in the 2025 class in the country by On3. The 6-3, 275-pound Herron joins a Notre Dame recruiting class that is ranked No. 13 in the country by On3 and includes in-state standouts Mark Zackery IV of Ben Davis and Brandon Logan of Fort Wayne Snider.
Warren Central, ranked No. 6 in Class 6A, is 7-1 and closes the regular season at home on Friday against Cathedral.
